So over the past several months I’ve been spending a ton of time writing and recording new songs.  I’m beyond happy and excited about the way things are turning out and I can’t wait to release them so anybody who wants to listen can hear them!  As most people know, I typically write most of my songs about love and anything to do with love, which most of these new songs are.  However there’s one song that stuck out that I want to share the lyrics to.  About a year and a half ago, we lost an extremely special person in our lives, Amy.  It was such a random accident that happened and it effected so many people.  At the time she died, I was in Seattle, WA playing bass for my friends in Danger Radio.  We had just gotten off stage and I got a call from a friend telling me about the accident.  I flew to Oklahoma the next morning to where Mandy was with her family to be with her because Amy was her best friend in the world.  It was an extremely tough time to say the least.  As hard as it was for us to lose such a great friend, I couldn’t help but think about how it must have felt to be her boyfriend and her family who were all there that night and how they were effected.  I wrote this song based off of that situation and what it would be like to be in their shoes.

Hello!  So as many of you know, next week the South By Southwest Festival in Austin, Tx is taking place.  This is something I have been looking forward to participating in for a very long time and this year will be my first year to be playing.  I was added to the All Together Now Showcase presented by MTV and Invisible Children.  Last week I received an email saying that several of the sponsors had taken themselves out of the showcase and the show as a whole was in danger of being shut down due to lack of finances.  The only hope the showcase had of staying alive is to ask the bands participating to do their part in helping raise enough money to cover all the costs of covering the venue price.  In order for this to happen, each band on the showcase needed to come up with roughly $250.00 in the next 48 hours.  Below is a donation link and password for the website where you can help out myself, Invisible Children, and all the other bands in making this thing happen.  Even if it’s only a dollar, it will still help immensely.  When you make a donation, tag it with the subject “Tyler.”  I can guarantee you that none of this money will be personally going to myself, or any other individual.  In fact, if the $250.00 quota isn’t met then you will all be refunded your money.  Thank you in advance for your help in making this showcase happen for myself, as well as all the other amazing bands participating and spreading the word about invisible children.  Thank you so much for your support in this.
